Parkview Medical Center

Ft. Wayne, Indiana

The $536 million medical center construction project opened in March 2012. The nine story facility will provide a total of 446 beds with increased diagnostic and treatment capability to serve areas of excellence in cardiac care, neurology, women’s health, pediatrics, oncology and orthopedics. The tower includes state of the art facilities for emergency care including life flight, advanced imaging, surgery, acute care and critical care serving both adult and pediatric patients.

Mitchell team members assessed the reuse of existing equipment early in planning. A full set of equipment planning documents were developed and coordinated with the architectural team. Mitchell’s team has managed competitive bids, evaluations, and tracked orders for contractor installation. Mitchell managed the receipt of owner furnished and installed equipment using an off- site warehouse and led the readiness, assembly, tagging and prepping for deployment and in-room delivery upon substantial completion.
