Lennar Foundation Ambulatory Care Center and Cancer Center
Coral Gables, Florida

The UHealth System Lennar Foundation is a new ambulatory care center providing an array of outpatient clinical services with a focus on oncology, orthopedics, cardiovascular care, and ophthalmology. The 220,000 square foot facility will have approximately 116 clinics, multi-modality diagnostic imaging, radiation oncology, 6 surgical suites, interventional radiology, physical and rehabilitation medicine, and support services.

The project began in 2011 with benchmarking tours, programming and restarted in 2015 for construction. The patient experience envisioned was implemented through design and attention to detail as a market differentiator. In addition to the hi-touch areas and improved patient and staff workflows, the experience was elevated with some of the most innovative operating and interventional suites in the country.  Pre-fab surgical walls provided a high-tech and resilient stainless steel surfaces, lights and booms and integral video screens that offered speed to market as well as operational benefits for infection control, durability and performance.

Mitchell's team provided full planning, procurement, installation and logistics services and opened on time and under budget in 2016 and was granted LEED Silver Certification.
