Comprehensive Cancer Center
San Juan, Puerto Rico

The Centro de Comprensivo de Cancer will embark on expanding their services beyond the current research tower to include comprehensive cancer services for translational research and bench to bedside care. The construction of a new hospital will add patient care services to the institution and will help achieve NCI designation. The hospital will include inpatient acute care and ICU beds, chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, PET and surgical services. The project has received peer input by MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston as well as respected surgeons and healthcare providers in San Juan.

Plans to future-proof the facility include considerations of innovative technologies such as intra-operative MRI and a future intra- operative CT. A full service pharmacy, laboratory, and other services will be planned for future expansion of the hospital.
