Saskatoon Health Region

Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

The maternal and children’s hospital was created to bring the best specialists together in one location. The new facility provides full services for emergency, surgery, labor and delivery, as well as inpatient units for acute care, neonatal intensive care (NICU), and pediatric intensive care (PICU). The hospital will provide provincial programs such as the referral center for advanced fetal diagnostics and intervention, and pediatric outpatient specialties such as cardiology, rheumatology and audiology.

The new facility will allow critically ill pediatric patients to be able to receive comprehensive care in the Province for the first time and will avoid having to be transferred to another Province to receive this care.
