New Replacement Regional Hospital

Maine General’s new Regional Medical Center will integrate the natural surroundings to consolidate services from the August and Seton facilities, to reduce costs while coordinating care in a new, state of the art, healing environment.

The new facility will provide a total of 192 private, inpatient beds, 31 emergency beds and on-site helipad, 10 operating rooms, 6 procedure rooms for endoscopy and cystoscopy, one cath lab, 19 PACU and 34 private prep/recovery, Imaging center, lab, pharmacy and full support services. The project also includes physician offices and clinics and access to an extensive array of diagnostics and treatment areas.

Construction is underway, with substantial completion planned for May 2014. Mitchell’s team is managing the new and relocating existing equipment and has initiated procurement services to include the selection of major equipment such as surgical lights and booms, CS equipment, monitoring, and imaging.
