Shore Health is replacing the Easton, MD campus with a new 400,000 square foot modern hospital. The 145 bed facility will include med/surg, telemetry, critical care, surgery, imaging, neuro/joint center and other supporting services. This facility will be equipped with state of art equipment, one that meets and supports the academic medical center needs of the University of Maryland Health System.
The Pavilion is a 250,000 sq. ft., 3-story addition to Riverside Regional Medical Center will greatly expand the hospitals capacity. The first floor is 113,000 sq. ft. and is dedicated to patient welcoming functions, including outpatient pharmacy, pre-op and recovery areas for 11 new operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites. The 64,300 sq foot second floor provides a total of 72 beds comprised of four 16-bed units dedicated to medical and general acute care, ICU, Step/Down/neurosurgery and orthopedic surgical patients.
The Marcus Neuroscience Institute is being planned as a world renowned center of excellence to serve complex neuroscience patients. The MNI will consist of critical care beds, Pre-Op/PACU beds, operating rooms, and an inter-operative MRI serving two operating rooms. The MRI will also serve outpatients when not being used in the surgical environment.
The unique design of the center will improve the surgical work flow and outpatient imaging case load for BRRH.
The new Exempla Saint Joseph Heritage project 7 story 750,000 sq ft. expansion includes new spaces for advanced imaging and interventional suites as well as updated environments for inpatient areas. The project includes 348 private rooms, a emergency, lab, Surgery and Interventional Neuro/Cardio Services, two hybrid operating rooms, three cath labs, two interventional radiology suites, two electrophysiology labs, and related prep/recovery areas, Simulation Labs, Women’s L&D, Postpartum, NICU, Adult ICU, and Acute Care beds for Orthopedic and Oncology Services.
Baptist Hospital has launched a $90 million construction project to expand Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Baptist Hospital’s Surgery Center. This investment shows Baptist Health’s commitment to bringing the latest medical advances to their community. The new facility is slated to open in 2016.
The $536 million medical center construction project opened in March 2012. The nine story facility will provide a total of 446 beds with increased diagnostic and treatment capability to serve areas of excellence in cardiac care, neurology, women’s health, pediatrics, oncology and orthopedics. The tower includes state of the art facilities for emergency care including life flight, advanced imaging, surgery, acute care and critical care serving both adult and pediatric patients.
