The new 204 bed, 467,000 square foot full service hospital is designed to support patient safety, clinical excellence and outstanding patient experience. Enhancements include all private rooms, designed with family caregivers in mind. The facility includes emergency, observation, imaging, interventional cardiology, labor and delivery, intensive care nursery, critical care, and medical surgical acute care beds, as well as support areas such as lab, pharmacy, materials, etc.
The patient tower was designed with the goals of improving patient privacy, encouraging the healing process, preventing infection transmission and upgrading technology. UConn Health set goals to keep the patient's needs in the center of everything they do, giving them the opportunity to move to and beyond the national standard of care in patient care.
The new six story hospital, designed specifically for children, will include inpatient beds, a pediatric emergency room, surgical suites, and a dedicated hematology/oncology unit that serves both inpatients and outpatients. Plans also include an adjacent four story 85,000 square foot medical office building primarily for pediatric and medical specialists.
The new Center for Health & Healing South project consists of a 12-story outpatient facility which includes seven interventional suites, six operating rooms, pre and post-surgery care areas, digestive health, plumonary medicine, imaging, extended stay, as well as the Knight Cancer Center, pharmacy and clinical trials program.
Mitchell provided comprehensive medical equipment planning services for the integrated project delivery (IPD) team including equipment layouts in Revit (BIM), scope clarification and budget assessment and balancing.
The Arizona Cancer Center is a new 7 story ambulatory cancer center, being built in coordination with the campus of St. Joseph Hospital. The new facility will provide patients with cancer screening, diagnostic and interventional treatment. Comprehensive imaging services include mammography, radiography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, PET, MRI and CT. Interventional services include endoscopy, stereotactic biopsy, angiography, cardiac catheterization.
The Pavilion Project will provide a new, enlarged operating and interventional platform for surgeons, endovascular surgeons and interventional radiologists to perform procedures. This nine level facility, includes a basement expansion of CS/Materials, a new two story main entrance, lobby, and patient drop off area and two interventional platform floors. The third floor includes six interventional imaging suites and a hybrid OR. The fifth floor includes six new operating rooms, with an intra-operative CT, blood bank, OR pharmacy and PACU, Prep/Recovery beds.
King Faisal Specialty Hospital and Research Center includes a complex designed to promote collaboration of clinicians and researchers. Mitchell completed the planning working within an integrated BIM model with CannonDesign. Mitchell finalized procurement specifications and provided management through acquisition and installation. Completion 2014.
King Abdullah Center for Cancer and Liver Diseases- a 360 bed, 72,000 square meter multi-specialty hospital and treatment center.
Mitchell was engaged to perform comprehensive medical equipment planning, procurement, and installation services for the Lynn Comprehensive Cancer Center. The cancer center provides state of the art treatment and research to its regional catchment area. The cancer center has an academic affiliation with Florida Atlantic University and the University of Miami.
