Martin Health System

Tradition Medical Center
Port St. Lucie, Florida

Tradition Medical Center, a new 80 bed hospital, opened it's doors in December 2013.  As the third hospital location for Martin Health System, the full service community hospital includes emergency, surgery, diagnostic imaging, 60 med/surg beds, 10 critical care, 14 LDRP and 6 NICU beds. Mitchell was part of an integrated project delivery team working closely to manage the medical equipment from planning through installation.

Martin Health System launched Epic in June of 2012, and has a strong foundation of maintaining equipment standards. The project has leveraged system standards, GPO group buys as well as addition quantities of capital funded equipment to maximize savings to the client. Mitchell led the procurement phase including negotiations for service, warranty and training. Final budget for medical equipment was under budget allowing the owner to use savings throughout the final year to cover other project costs.  Mitchell managed the receiving, staging, assembly and installation phase with final placement and coordination with biomedical engineering testing and acceptance.

Mitchell also assisted the Owner with procurement and installation related services for the adjacent Medical Office Building with oncology infusion suite, primary care clinic, outpatient obstetrics and administrative support.
